13 months and walking!!!

So, this afternoon was an interesting and exciting one.  Jacy and I have been working with Landon on his walking.  We knew he could do it, but he just needed to gain the confidence.  Landon and I were playing in his room and out of no where he decided to walk to me.  Jacy came in his room to see, and Landon walked back and forth from Jacy to me about 10 times.  You could tell he was so proud of himself!  After playing, he decided he was going to walk all over the house.  We had so much fun tonight watching Landon walk from point A to point B.

He also decided while he was walking, he was going to kick his ball at the same time.  I think he is moving a little too quickly....  :o)

Our little politician!!

Landon and I were running errands the other day, and we stopped to have some lunch.  We were sitting there waiting on our food, and Landon was just talking up a storm.  He loves to wave and talk to everyone, and I mean everyone, who walks past him.  There was a sweet older man and his wife sitting beside us that day.  We got to talking, and he kept saying how precious Landon was, but he also said unfortunately, he thought Landon was going to be a politician when he gets older because he likes to talk so much.   I said, "Well, he does come by it honestly.  His mother loves to talk also"!

I think we all had too much fun on the "kids" slide.  The night of the 31st we all gathered again to get wet in the water.  Check it out.....

Landon's 1st Birthday!!

Wow...as we look back at the past year of our life, we are just amazed how God works and continues to work in our lives.  He has given us the opportunity to become parents, and we are so blessed to have Landon with us each and every day!  We give praise and thanks to the Lord, for he is good!!!  Psalm 106: 1-3

As we celebrated Landon's 1st birthday on Saturday, we also celebrated the fellowship with our friends and families.  We are so thankful to have them close by, and for Landon to spend time with people that love him unconditionally!

When you think of July and how hot it is, we thought water activities would be the best thing to do for his birthday party.  The little guys and girls (sweet Kylee) played in the baby pool and the big kids played on the blow up water slide.  It was so much fun to see the kids on the water slide.  Dad McCullough was filming in front of the slide, paying no attention, so he got completely soaked standing in front of the  slide....It was too funny!

Landon/mom and dad (haha) opened so many fun toys and now we need a bigger house just to store the toys!!!  Every new gift we opened that is the one Landon wanted to play with.

When it was cake time, he wasn't all that interested.  He stuck his finger in the icing a few times, but I guess he like to have clean hands like his momma!

Learning to walk

Landon got this cute little lion walker the other day and absolutely loves it. He does such a great job learning to walk with it. No face plants yet, so I am hoping we can keep it that way!!!! He will stand for aboutt 15 seconds on his own, but when he starts to fall he just goes to his crawling position. He doesn't think to take a step yet, so we are still working on it! :o)

Memorial Day weekend

I was just looking through our camera and realized I have not put up all the pics from Memorial Day weekend. We had so much fun going to the Henderson's bay house with everyone. Landon was so good, and it was nice to just sit and relax.

We all took a boat trip from Matagorda to Port O'Conn0r to visit with the Pierces. It took us about an hour and ten minutes by boat, and Landon LOVED the boat ride. It actually put him to sleep on the way to Port O.

Children's Museum

We had so much fun hanging out with our friends at the Children's Museum in Houston on Monday. Landon enjoyed playing with Jaxson and all the other kids that were there. He loved going in the tunnel the most and spinning this big, colorful wheel they had. He also had a blast on the little car that he liked to "drive". Landon has this OBSESSION with driving, especially on Me Maw and Paw Paw's QUV! It is too cute!

We are pushing 11 months, and growing strong. Landon is crawling at top speed and pulling up on everything!!!! Slowly but surely Landon is getting in more teeth. His fifth tooth just broke the skin. He weighs almost 19 pounds and can eat like it's going out of style! He loves to click his tongue, and talks all the time (just like his momma!!!). We can't believe we are planning his one year old birthday party.

A couple of weeks ago we finally got around to getting some family pictures taken. I am so thrilled with how they turned out and wanted to share a few.

The entire time we were shooting, there was a baby alligator in the pond behind us. We had to keep an eye on him! :o)

Boy oh boy...

Well a lot has been happening in the last couple of weeks. Sorry it has taken me so long to update the blog. Landon had his 9 month check up last week (even though we are a few days shy of 10 mo) and we weighed in at 17 lbs. 11 oz and he is 27 1/2 in. long. It's about time that boy starts to get a little taller! Landon also got in his two top teeth, so now we have four teeth. He LOVES to grind them together and chew on everything, so we are working on breaking these habits! We are crawling everywhere and now are pulling up on everything. Just today while I was unloading the dishwasher, I looked over, and there he was standing on the door holding on to the top rack. Needless to say, I was freaking out. He thought it was the funniest thing of course. He loves to go for night lights and cords. How do you baby proof that???



Landon has this new fake laugh that he thinks it is absolutely hilarious. It is too cute when he does it. If we are laughing at something funny, he feels it is necessary that he mocks us and does the same thing! Priceless.



We went swimming in big pool for the first time the other night. He absolutely loved it. He loves to splash and kick his legs. Funny story with this-Landon and I were in the pool and Jacy was sitting on the side of it, and all of a sudden there is a baby snake swimming straight towards Landon. Jacy yells snake and we are moving like lightning! Then dad grabs the thing with his hands and throws it out....the snake got away! :o( Then, about twenty minutes later, mom and dad were swimming, and ANOTHER ONE comes straight towards dad. Man, what an exciting pool outing that day!

My first Easter!!!

This year for Easter, everyone went to The McCullough's house.  It was a lot of fun being with everyone and spending time with family.  We can't wait until next year when Landon will be all over that egg hunt!  We made Wayne hunt just to keep things interesting...
