10 month check-up

As I dug deep in my purse I found the babies 10 month check-up sticker stats, so I figured I better write it down before they get lost!  Of course they are now 11 months now, but ya know...  Reese was 26 1/4in long and weighed 15 pounds 10 ounces.  Grady was 27in long and weighed 15 pounds 12 1/2 ounces.  They have been doing great, crawling like crazy, eating "real people" food and I've have also started them on whole milk one bottle a day.  Not a fan of whole milk yet, but they better get there so we can cut down this formula bill :o)  Here are some pics from the fourth, and that was also a few days before they turned 10 months.

2nd annual Canyon Lake camping trip!

This was the first camping trip for Reese and Grady.  We stayed at Potter's Creek on Canyon Lake for our second year in a row.  We had a blast and actually took all 3 out on the boat.  We set up the babies' pack-n-play and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would end up.  It was a lot of work, but I am glad we took it on, because it was enjoyable!
Landon on grandpa's new boat!!
Babies on board!!  Yes, this is how they took one of their boat rides..HA!

Stay at home mom???

So, as I sit upstairs playing with my three children, I am so thankful to even have this opportunity! At the same time, I'm ready to blow my head off, seriously! I have no life and I can't go anywhere. I mean, I need a triple stroller, and if I come home with one more stroller to cram in my already packed with crap garage, my husband would seriously consider leaving me ...lol! I can recite almost any kids book, sing any bible song my son has learned at MDO or church, change two diapers at a time, with my eyes closed, WHILE I wipe a two year old's butt!! Now that is talent my friends!

Every single day I consider getting a job, but then I think about taking my almost 3 year old into a day care room crammed with like 20 kids and it makes my stomach hurt. That is exactly why I cried almost every time I had to leave my son with strangers...I hated it!!!! But yet why am I going so crazy if this is what I signed up for...to be home with my children and a mommy 24/7?

This too shall pass, right?! I can't help but literally laugh at myself. My life is CRAZY, but I love it on a no screaming day :) Just sayin'...

Memorial Day Weekend 2012

For our Memorial Day weekend, we spent some time at the bay house in Matagorda.  It was actually a lot of fun with the three kids!  Landon got to swim in his pool on the dock, go fishing, play with his friends, and he even went fishing.  He was such a trooper fishing, and was totally into it.  He had his own pole, and would just sit on the side of the boat, drop his bait in, and patiently wait.  But, when it was time to put a new shrimp on, he wouldn't touch it.  HA!  By the end of the trip, he touched one, but that was the first and last time he did that.  He never caught a fish, but his MeMaw did catch a croaker and put it on the end of his pole.  It was SO cute when he reeled it in.

My one mission while we were at the beach was to take some pictures of Reese and Grady in the water.  With Landon, I guess him being my first, I never wanted to get him sandy or possibly salt water in his eyes because they would burn, so this time around, I didn't care...lol  Reese absolutely LOVED it...she just sat in her bumbo and sunbathed, but Grady didn't like it so much.  It was pretty windy so between the wind and the water crashing on his bumbo (just a little bit, not drowning him), he
                                               was not a happy camper.

This was my hair do after my fishing trip!!

WE ARE SO THANKFUL FOR FAMILY!!!!!

John 3:16

This is what I live for!!  Landon has been able to say this verse for quite sometime now, and I still cry everytime I hear him recite it.  It just warms our hearts and puts a smile on our faces!  We are so very thankful for such wonderful teachers Landon has (Mrs. Lizanne and Mrs. Heather).  They had been working on this bible verse at school, so Landon and I (and daddy) would practice almost every day here at home.  I am so, so proud of my sweet little boy!  It is amazing how much they can learn at such a young age.  (to hear the video, you will need to mute the music at the bottom)

Easter 2012

This year was the biggest Easter I have had since I was a little girl.  Several family members came in from out of town and it was a fun time of fellowship!  Landon had a blast.  He played SO hard, that he fell asleep eating his dinner at the kitchen table.  It was hilarious.  As for the babies, they slept the entire time we were egg hunting.  They will be full force next year, I'm sure!  We started our weekend out going to the Saturday night service with all of Jimmy's family.  It was so neat.  We literally took up an entire row.  I have put a slide show together on the right sidebar of all the Easter pictures.  Although the weekend was filled with so many fun things, Jacy and I think it is very important that we don't let our children loose sight of what Easter is truly about.  We want our children to know that it is fun to hunt eggs, eat candy, and all the other fun things, but first and foremost Easter is about Jesus, how He died on the cross to forgive our sins, and then rose from the dead!  I can't even fathom a love like this!  Thank you Lord!
