Ridin' on the tractor with daddy!!!!!

Wow, what beautiful weather we had this weekend.  We completely took advantage of it and worked in our flower beds and made a garden.  I am so excited about my garden, and hope I can grow some vegetables instead of kill them!  :o)  This will be my first attempt at keeping up with a garden.  Landon got to go for his first tractor ride with Jacy.  He loved it!

PawPaw's work of art!

Created just for Landon with love from PawPaw!

Kickin' it with cuzin Tyton...

Jorja and Tyton were able to come down and visit for a few days with us. Landon and Tyton were absolutely adorable. They were very interested in each other and Landon kept wanting to eat Tyton....pretty funny! It was so nice to hang out and get to catch up. Check out these priceless pics of the boys!

PRAISE GOD!!!

God is so good!!! We are so excited Landon was able to get his tubes because he seems to feel much better! The surgery went great. He was such a big hit with the ladies at the hospital... :o) He is turning out to be a pretty big flirt! haha

We arrived at Herman Memorial @ the Woodlands about 6:40 friday morning. They had asked us not to feed Landon after midnight the night b/f because of reflux reasons during surgery. I have to say he did awesome, considering he wasn't able to eat for hours. They took him into surgery about 9 and literally by 9:10 he was done!!! Super quick. The doctor said both of his ears were completely full of puss. Very gross, I know, but we are very glad he was able to clean them out. In recovery, he screamed for about 10 minutes. We were able to feed him a bottle and it calmed him down pretty quickly. After about 30 minutes in recovery, we were headed back home.

Today is day two and he seems like he is going into a much deeper sleep than he has reached before. In turn, he seems much happier...so far! We are very anxious to see how the next couple of weeks go.

Ear Tubes

Well, we had a visit to an ENT specialist last week about Landon's constant ear infections. After his check-up we discovered he has a lot of fluid in both of his ears. Our doctor suggested that it is a great idea to go ahead and get tubes because it will definately take care of this problem. We have scheduled surgery for January 29th for Landon to get tubes in both of his ears. We are very excited and really feel this will help Landon feel so much better and hopefully sleep at night time. Of course we are a little nervous because he will be put under, but know this is the best decision for Landon.

We have also started food recently and boy does he LOVE it! We are a growing boy and eat everything that comes our way. He is such a great little eater and gets excited when you start to make his food! It is the cutest thing I have ever seen.

Christmas Day

It was so much fun to celebrate our first Christmas as a family!  All the fun started the day before Christmas Eve as we began visiting our family and had dinner with the Henderson's.  MeMaw cooked a fantastic meal that we enjoyed before we opened all of our gifts.  Landon wasn't too interested in his first Christmas.  He slept while we opened gifts.  :o)  I think it was more for mom and dad!  The day of Christmas Eve, we went to church, and then over to my grandparent's house.  My mom's side.  After opening gifts with all the McGills, we then went back to Udog and Cici's house.  :o)  Cici had wonderful drinks and lots of snacks for us to munch on.  We opened gifts and then played mexican train.  Uncle Russell and Aunt Katie taught us all how to play the game.  That night, we got home very late.  Way past our bedtime anyway.  Christmas morning was wonderful as a family.  About lunch time, we headed over to the Rayburn's Christmas.  Landon was extremely well behaved and actually let everyone hold him!!!  We were sooo excited about this!

Christmas at Conne's!

We just got back from Canyon Lake visiting Jacy's mimi, Conne.  We were very nervous about our first 3 hour road trip, because Landon is not a fan of his car seat.  He could not have been better.  He did so well in the car not only going, but also coming back home.  We arrived @ Canyon Lake about lunch time on Saturday.  We sat around the house and had lunch and chatted with Jimmy's brothers and sisters.  About 4:00 we started to head to Gruene for dinner.

We had a great time like we do every year and really enjoyed seeing the family.  We can't believe Landon is celebrating his first Christmas.  He got to open his first gift from Mimi.  He got the cutest pair of little crocs.

Eating cereal for the first time....

Fun Christmas pics...

This picture TOTALLY describes our family....CRAZY!  Wow, you should have seen us trying to take it.  I had to give Landon a bottle because he was crying and put it behind my back the second before we snapped the shot....good times, good times!  :o)

Landon's Dedication

Sunday, December 13, Landon was dedicated at church.  He behaved so well as the preacher prayed over each family.  He wasn't camera shy at all.  After the dedication, we all came back and had hamburgers at our house.

Landon's 1st Thanksgiving!

Wow, I can't believe Landon is 18 weeks old.  We go to the doctor tomorrow to get his 4 month shots.  :o( We are very excited to see how much he has grown.

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving this year.  Jacy, Landon and I went to my grandpa and grandma's house to eat the day of Thanksgiving.  Jacy then headed to Uvalde with his family to hunt for the weekend.  Usually we go together to hunt, but this year we thought Landon was a little young.  We can't wait until next year when he is walking and gets to go with us to Uvalde!  It is going to be a blast and will be here before we even know it.

Just recently Landon is starting to roll to his side.  He loves for you to talk to him and know he is in the room.  If you don't talk to him for a while, he has this little cry that reminds you, "Hey, I'm here!"  It is so funny.  He has also discovered he can blow bubbles and make a gargling noise.  He loves to listen to himself gargle.  He has started to laugh and likes when you dip him down like he is falling.  He LOVES it!

We are having so much fun watching him grow and just can't believe what a blessing he is.  He truly is a miracle!

Trick-or-Treat

For Halloween, Jacy, Landon and I went over to mom and dad's house.  The Henderson's joined us along with the Holz's, the Foster's and Uncle Russell and Aunt Katie.  Landon did not take to that many people in one room very well, so we decided to take him trick-or-treating.  He LOVED it.  He was a big hit in his little pumpkin outfit.  We went to 5 or 6 houses and then headed back to the house.  Uncle Russell and Aunt Katie joined us trick-or-treating.  We had a lot of fun and let's just say mom and dad enjoyed the candy!  By the time we got home he was exhausted and slept well that night.

Since he started going to his sitter this week, he has slept through the night the entire week.  We just can't believe it and needless to say, we are all in a better mood around here since we have been getting enough sleep!  :o
